Dissemination Activities
Dissemination activities will be crucial in order to show-case benefits and advantages of using virtual welding tools in the training of welders. In this regard, the main activities of VIRTWELD will focus on demonstrating these systems to certified institutions, personnel and training schools.
The partners of VIRTWELD have the necessary capabilities to ensure a high level of dissemination activities throughout the duration of the project. Specifically, since the partnership is made up by the EWF and three of its ANBs, these have already a consolidated network of contacts, from training institutes and schools to companies among which the project's developments can be widely divulged. Each Institute has a capable dissemination network for project's results through the database of certified institutions, personnel, welding schools. Also the list of secondary technical schools will be prepared in order to provide the information also to the students who can be the potential users in future. The dissemination of the project activities will concentrate on the distribution of information via existing network.
Taking into consideration the common training objectives of this consortium, the valorisation of the project is extensively assured.
EWF provides a capable dissemination network for the project's results through its members − institutions from 29 European countries that are leading participants in joining technology. These institutions have among their associates around 1.300 industrial members and a global network of about 43.000 contacts, among universities, RTDs and SMEs, making DISTOOLWELD results a significant effort. With EWF as a European organization that works in cooperation with European institutions and SMEs, it is legitimate to think that essential conditions for promotion and dissemination of projects results will occur. This approach and the direct collaboration between EWF members' institutions and the joining technological community network assure the diffusion and use of project outputs. Therefore, the partnership is convinced that the target groups will be able to familiarize themselves with the project results and take the adequate benefits from it. Printed material as well as electronic documents, leaflets and posters will be provided to welding schools and documents in electronic format which will fully support the dissemination of the project results.
The dissemination plan will be prepared and approved by the partners according to approved program of workshops and seminars. The exploitation of the project results is expected in welding schools where the virtual technology will be used. The project is concentrated in promotion of the IT product which could help to increase the attractiveness of welding technology.
